Art Lesson - Shading
My art teacher made us use a ruler and make boxes out of six squares each. Each is to go lighter then darker.
- shades
- dots (which took the longest)
- cross hatching
- color
Opals (Shaped Animals)
I swear I think I am so terrible with naming things!

Shapes of Animals WIP
© Rwhan
So in my Ceramics class (which will have to be changed out soon because I have no math class -_-) we drew in these squares with symbols. And well....I got bored and felt like drawing some animals! In the end it turned out to look like shapes inside a weird build up of a cat, wolf, and owl. I really am interested in completing this but I am so busy all the time I may have only weekends to work on this. Observational Drwaing SD-Sketch Dump

Tea Cup Finished
Acrylics watered down to seem like watercolors. I`m trying to practice with details and to make things seem more...interesting.
Tea Cup WIP
I have no idea what kind of objective I`m looking for; however, I am thinking up ways to bring this out more and add more details. Something to really make this pop out.
This isn't water color, I am just using acrylics to water a lot of this down to look like water color.

My first critique
The impact you have on this work is quite unique. I have already had occasion to see similar design styles, and are always very interesting. Your design here is admirable and the figures of various animals are well located, giving evidence of a good taste in order to give figures seemingly chaotic, almost Picasso-style.
The design looks so put a little incomplete, in fact, seems to be missing the distinction between animals and some others, and this limits a little vision. The stretch a little big I think is done intentionally, and so even if a bit penalizes the technique, does not detract from the beauty of the work.Maybe a little too accentuated the size difference between the figures in the foreground and the upper ones, which inevitably pass into the background, but, usually, in these styles of art should all be homogeneous, partly because there are related in their size between them (unless you desire that a specific figure overhang the other, but in this case the distinction should be more clear, maybe with the subject at the center and the other in a circle, or to a side, and in certain cases also the title is adapted accordingly). However, we must say that your intuition has been very good;'ve played with animals so different from each other and have them harmonized well in the context. The work, in my opinion, is good.In your gallery I noticed that this is, roughly, your overall style, so there is nothing to say about it. It all depends on what your goal: if you want to improve your ability to detail, then I suggest you begin with a sudden a little lighter and play better with the effects of light / shadow. If this is your style and you want to keep it (style that I think is very interesting anyway) I can tell you that you can always work on proportions and themes, so as to give a touch of class to your work, which to me is still loved .Brava, you have a good talent. Continues to show us, will always be welcome. Good job.

I`m not sure how to feel about this critique; as helpful as it was...the rating was not that good.
Three stars was my rating for this.
It makes me feel like I need to be more original. The comment he made about my work being "roughly" like this was interesting. For one; I never thought about the style that I did. I just drew out whatever came to me! It seems like...I need to get even more out of that bubble. Now keep in mind; I understand not everyone will like what I do.
I shall see where this will take me.

{Untitled for now}
I really do not know how I feel about the colored version so far. I might just go back and do some photo editing later.
- Sharpie
- Oil pastels
- Acrylic background and some fillers

Batman
I was a little stressed today; so like any other artist I took it all out on my sketchbook. My original idea was to think of a woman with her thoughts clustered and spread out. Hence why there is hardened scribble everywhere.
Lets just say..it now looks like Batman to me. A strange looking Batman indeed.

Getting Noticed
It really means a lot to know there are people out there who like your stuff, and are willing to watch you in return. To see the scraps, photos, and projects you put up there. So far I have 32 Watchers on DeviantArt.
Oh yeesh, 32? It may not seem like a big deal but since I recently got even more serious with my work I have around 17 that was added in such a short period of time! I`m pretty proud of myself so far.
I don't know how things will turn out when school starts. But hopefully things will get better. I`ll have a ceramics class I`ve been DYING to take. I have a list made up in my head of what I want t make.
Here are some of my previous works with ceramics. My art teacher loved me enough to let me start working on around the end of the year.
I might post up a picture onto this blog later on where I put some of them. They still lie outside my bedroom in boxes (/_\)

- A ceramic herb bowl (I think they are so cool!)
- A beaded pot (there will be holes on the side so I can string some beads out of it)
- Small figurines of an owl, cat, wolf, and possible bear on little set up plate.
- Wind chimes
- Perhaps some cool tiles

Shark Week WIP
Okay, so this WILL be against the over usage of shark fishing. I feel that people who kills these animals are taking away a huge part of a marine ecosystem and balance.
